Awake.
All is quiet.
But something,
somewhere,
gently whispers:
S n o w.
Look out the window, and –
There!
The world is blanketed in white.
As it falls
and
flutters
down
in gentle swirls,
the world comes alive with its dance.
First one way,
then the next,
it moves to a song inaudible by human ears.
It is beauty.
It is danger.
It is freedom.
What mesmerizing power it has.
And why?
It is a simple, unblemished landscape that lies in wait –
beckoning.
It is flawless purity that,
for a moment,
lies undisturbed in a tranquil, shrouded silence.
Empty.
And then they come
